3.31K Run

This morning I ran 3.31K with the pack run.  I decided to get up early and meet the group at the store.  If I had of slept in it would be way to hot to run later.

5.29K Run

Tonight I ran 5.29K in 43mins.  Today was suppose to be a rest day but since I did not run on Tuesday due to a headache I decided to make up for it tonight.  I waited until after 8pm to go as it was so hot out today.  Last night I made a strawberry smoothie for breakfast this morning.   I liked it better then the blueberry smoothie I made earlier in the week.
This is the recipe:
2 cups of strawberries (I used frozen)
1/2 cup of yogurt
1/4 cup of orange juice
1/3 cup of skim milk
1/2 tbsp of sugar
protein powder

6.25K Run

Tonight I ran 6.25K with the running group in 54mins.  It was deathly hot out and is only going to continue for the next couple days.  This is the route we took:

4.24K Run

Tonight I ran 4.24K in 35mins.  It was a pretty hot night tonight and it is only going to get hotter as the week goes on.  I am still sore today from my core workout on Monday.

Cross Train

Tonight I went to a CXWorx group class at Goodlife.  It was only 30mins, but it was a tough 30mins.  I forgot how weak my core is.

South Huron 8K Trail Run

Today I ran the South Huron 8K Trail Run in 1hour and 3mins.  I am happy with this as I shaved 2mins off my 8K time from Friday night's race.  It was much cooler this morning for the run and the trail was really nice to run on.  Someone at the start at the race mentioned that the trail was fairly flat.  They lied.  It was not flat, pretty hilly if you ask me.

Tonight I also made a blueberry smoothie to take to work the next two mornings.  This is the recipe:
1 cup of fresh blueberries
8 ounces of yogurt
3/4 cup of skim milk
2 tablespoon of sugar
1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1 tablespoon of protein powder
pinch of nutmeg

Wednesday: 4K Run
Thursday: 6K Run with Running Group
Friday: Rest Day
Saturday: 4K Pack Run
Sunday: 10K Run with Running Group (we start at 7am :( )

4.28K Run

Today I ran 4.28K in 35.52mins.  It is not as hot as it has been, but it was still a hot run since I decided to go out at 12noon.

Go the Distance 8K Race

Tonight was the Go the Distance 8K Race.   I ran it in 1hour and 5mins.  A little slower then I was hoping.  The course started at TD Waterhouse Stadium and looped through Western University and the surrounding neiboughood with the finish on the 50yard line on the football field.  I enjoy anytime I get to run through the University.

 I have the South Huron 8K Trail Run on Sunday so I hope to trim maybe 5mins off my time at that race.

3.89K Run

Today I ran 3.89K in 31mins with the running group.  It poured rain during the run.  On my way to Gibbons Park it was raining so hard it was difficult to see where I was going.  It stopped while we were waiting for everyone to gather and then the rain started again!

Tomorrow is the Go the Distance 8K Race.

This is the cooler bag I received in our race packet.  I will definitely use it as a lunch bag.

4.26K Run

Today I ran approximately 4.26K in 34mins.  My Garmin would not pick up a signal on the first half of my run.  I ran a different route to a near by splash pad.  I waited until 8pm to go for my run and it was still 30 degrees Celsius out!
