6.48K Run

Tonight I ran 6.48K in 53mins right after work.  It was nice and warm out.  I didn't even need a jacket.  You would have thought it was spring!  This is the route I took:

10.31K Run

This morning I ran 10.31K in 1hour and 24mins with the running group.  I wish it was a bit faster but the sidewalks were really snow packed and icy.  I almost fell on my butt a few times.  Part of the run took uson to the Terry Fox Parkway which was kept a lot clearer then the sidewalks.  I was glad to see this and able to make up some time.  This is the route we took:

5K Pack Run #2

This morning I ran 5K in 40mins with the running group.  I am really happy with this time.  It ended up being pretty snowy and windy this morning so I was surprised with my time.

8.14K Run

Tonight I ran 8.14K in 1hour and 5mins with the running group.  I am really happy with this time as I ran 1.4K further then last Thursday 9mins faster!   The weather was the main reason for this!  Much nicer, only 1 degree with a little rain!  This is the route we took:

5.99K Run

Tonight I ran 5.99K in 49mins.  It was nice a warm out, 8 degrees, but really windy.  All the snow is gone again!  I decided to run tonight as Steven was off work so I could run safely in the dark.  Maybe I will go to the gym tomorrow night after work for some cross training...  I have decided to use Runkeeper to track my runs as I can upload my runs from my Garmin.  It seems to work pretty well so far!

8.9K Run

Today I ran 8.9K in 1hour and 14mins with the running group.  A little slower then I would have liked but the sidewalks are still snow covered.  This is the route we took:

 I am pretty proud of myself for dragging myself out of bed as it was -15 degrees with the windchill.  It ended up being a much better run then Thursday night. 
Since Runtastic isn't allowing me to upload my runs from my Garmin anymore, I have to find another program to use.  I notice a lot of you use Daily Mile.  Can you upload your runs from your Garmin easily?

4.12K Run

Today I ran 4.12K in 35mins.  I was suppose to run with the running group this morning but it was -16 degrees with the windchill at 8:30am this morning, so I went back to bed.  I ended up running around 1pm when it was only a -5.  Much better.  Runtastic has changed their website so I can`t upload my run.  Hopefully Steven will be able to figure something out when he gets home.

7K Run #8

Tonight I ran 7K in about an hour with the running group.  I forgot my Garmin in my gym bag in my office.  It was the coldest, crappiest run ever.  At about the 1.5K mark I wanted to cry and call Steven to come and get me.  But I didn't I kept going, it got a little better as I went on.  After my run, I found out it was -19 degrees with the windchill.  This is the route that we took:

6K Run and Roasted Potatoes

Tonight I ran 6K in 49mins in the pouring rain.  I have never been so wet in my life!  When I came home tonight, my lovely husband had made Roasted Potatoes for dinner. 
Here's the recipe:
Ingredients:
1 and 1/2 pounds of potatoes, cut in quarters
2 tablespoons of olive oil or vegetable oil
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon of dried rosemary
1/2 teaspoon of dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/2 teaspoon of pepper
Directions:
Combine all ingredients in a plastic bag; toss to coat.
Pour into an ungreased 13inch x 9inch x 2inch baking pan.
Bake, uncovered at 450 degrees F for 35 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
Remove from the oven and cover with foil to keep warm.

I was suppose to run with the running group this morning, but I chickened out as when I woke up at 7am this morning it was -20 out.  I went back to bed and decided I would do my run instead in the afternoon.  This afternoon it was only -8 out, much better!  I bought a pair of Yaktrax yesterday and they worked great today.  

Hardly noticed when I was running on snow!

4.62K Pack Run

This morning I ran 4.62K in 39mins with the running group.  It is a little slower then I would have like, but it snowed overnight so the sidewalks were not very clear.  I tried the Clif Bar the other day, but was not impressed with the texture.

4.85K Run

Tonight was the beginning of my winter half marathon clinic!  This year the marathon group and the half marathon group are running together.  There are about 50 members in the marathon group and about 14 in the half.  Tonight I ran 4.85K with the group in 37mins.  I am pretty happy with this.

I tried the Smores flavoured Luna Bar today before my run and I was not impressed with the taste.  I thought it tasted a little gritty.

Tonight I did 2.17miles on the elliptical.  I also picked up a Clif Bar, Chocolate Chip flavour to try, as they were on sale at the grocery store.  I will let you know what I think.

6.82K Run

Today I ran 6.82K in 54mins.  I am really happy with this time.  It was another beautiful day for a run!  While at the grocery store I was able to pick up a pair of yoga pants for $6.94!  I will be using these for running as yoga pants I run in now, seem to work out well and are a lot cheaper then running specific pants!

3mile Treadmill Run

Tonight I ran 3miles on the treadmill.  I had it set at 4.5.  My gym is conveniently located above a grocery store.  After my work out I had to pick up a couple things and I came across Luna Bars and Honey Stingers!

I pick up a Luna Bar S'mores flavour and Honey Stinger Pomegranate Passion chews to try.  I will let you know what I think, when I have a chance to try them out!

7.47K Run

Tonight I ran 7.47K in 1hour and 8mins.  This is a pretty consistent pace for me.  I wore my new Feetures Ultra Light Cushion socks and they worked wonderfully!  When I got home my husband had made meatless chicken fingers and Disney Parmesan Mashed Potatoes.
