4.79K Run and Really Chilly 10K Road Race

Yesterday I ran 4.79K in 36mins in preparation for the Really Chilly 10K Road Race today.

Really Chilly Road Races
I ran the Really Chilly 10K Road Race in 1:10:56.  3 seconds faster then last year.  I wish it was a little faster but over all it was a good race.  The race lived up to it's name today as it was -16 degrees with the wind chill when the race started!  Like last year it was a fast race.  I felt really good during the race and finished strong, passing 3 people in the last 3km.
Me and Lionel before the race!

Before the race!  All bundled up!

At the half way point.

Rounding the finish!
Here is my schedule for next week!

Tuesday: 8K Run
Wednesday: Rest Day
Thursday: 8K Run

7.87K Run

Last night I ran 7.87K in 1hour and 7mins with the running group.  It was a rainy, snowy run.  I was slushed by passing cars twice.
This is the route we took:
east King
north Ontario
east Dundas
south Ashland
west King
south Eleanor
east York
south Kernohan
west Florence
north Rectory
west King to Club
I also received these flowers from my lovely hubby.

Today I bought new running shoes.  My ankle has been bothering me a little bit, so I think it is time.  Saucony no longer makes the Echelon 2 so I bought the Echelon 3.

While I was at the store, I also picked up my race packet for Sunday's Really Chilly 10K Road Race!
I love the race shirt! Pink!

Really Chilly 10K Road Race

Today I ran the Really Chilly 10K Road Race in 1hour 10mins and 59secs!  This is 8mins faster then the Halloween Haunting 10K in October!
This is what was in our race packet!

The course had a monster hill at the end.  Here is a picture of the down portion before you run up the other side.
