8K Run #3
Tonight I ran 8K in 1hour and 11mins. I am very happy with this as it was pain free in my right foot! When I came home from work tonight, I was sore all over. Not sure why as I had not run in 2 days. I decided that I would take 2 Advils and then have a bath and see how I felt after that. I felt better and went on my run. My legs felt great! I think I might try taking a bath Sunday morning before to my 1/2 marathon because my legs never felt so great! I will keep up with rolling my foot with the golf ball and frozen water bottle as this has been working for my Plantar Fasciitis and hopefully I will feel as good on Sunday as I did tonight! Here is my training schedule for this week:

8.45K Run and Plantar Fasciitis
Today I was scheduled to run 12K with the running group but was only able to do 8.45K as I have developed a case of Plantar Fasciitis today in my right heel. I could not believe how much pain I was in and did not know what I did. When I returned back to the running store both the group leader and all the other participants knew exactly what the problem was, Planter Fasciitis. Great, with one week to go until the Springbank 1/2 Marathon. It was suggested that I ice my heal, and use a golf ball to roll out the bottom of my foot. I have been doing that today since I got home, but there is still a bit of pain on the on the bottom near the outside of my foot. I have even convinced he needs to massage my foot. I know that a few of you have struggled with Plantar Fasciitis, what are your suggestions so I can make it through my 1/2 Marathon in a week?

4K Run
Tonight I ran 4K in 37mins. Not the fastest but it was really humid out tonight. I missed my run last night as I was still sore from Wednesday's run. Tomorrow is the last run with the running group until the Springbank 1/2 Marathon.

9K Run
Tonight I ran 9K in 1hour and 29mins. It wasn't my fastest but my blisters were still bothering me a bit. I ended up have a bath in ice cold water when I got home as my knees and ankles were a little slow.

Failed Run
Tonight was a scheduled 9K run. I suited up and went out. I only got 1/2 way down the block before I had to quit due to the blisters that developed during my 21.5K run on Sunday. I figured it was better to let my feet rest for one more day rather then risk injury by me favouring my feet while running. Here is my revised training schedule for this week:
Monday: Rest Day
Tuesday: Rest Day
Wednesday: 9K Run
Thursday: 7K Run
Friday: 4K Run
Saturday: 12K Run
Sunday: Rest Day

21.49K Run to Port Stanley
Today i ran my longest run ever! 21.49K to Port Stanley with the running group! My time was 3hours and 13mins. Not bad if I do say so myself! Now that I have done the distance, the Springbank 1/2 Marathon should be a piece of cake.
I noticed a couple other bloggers also ran their longest distances this weekend as well. Amy from Pumpkin to Princess ran a 10 mile trail race and Cupcake from Bigger Girls Can Run Too http://kmaconfessions.blogspot.com/2011/08/10-miles-of-what-hell.html also ran 10 miles this weekend. Great job girls!

4.19K Run
This morning I ran 4.19K in 37mins with the running group. Tomorrow I run 21.5K to Port Stanley. Hopefully I will make it okay. At least after tomorrow I will know that I can run the Springbank 1/2 Marathon no problem!
