A Look Back at 2012 and 2013 Goals

A Look Back at 2012
I ran my first 8K race, Go the Distance 8K Race in June.  I ran it in 1hour and 5mins.
I completed a 5K PR at the Downtown 5K Race in April.  I ran it in 35mins and 12secs.
I ran my first Disney Race, Wine and Dine 1/2 Marathon in November.  I ran it in 3hours and 6mins.
I completed a 10K PR at the Really Chilly 10K Road Race in February.  I ran it in 1hour and 10mins.
Over all I am pretty happy with all my times.

Total KM ran for 2012 = 1456.3!  Just 43.7kms short of my 1500 goal I had set for the year.

2012 Goals - Revisited!
My non running goals include:
1. Drink more water!  I need to reach that 8-10 glasses/day minimum! - Will carry over to 2013
2. Read at least 12 books this year.  My Kobo has made this goal a lot easier I think! - Only read 7.  Will carry over to 2013
3. Pay off at least 1 credit card - We have made a little dent in our debt load but it seems never ending!  Will carry over to 2013
4. Eat healthier.  I am a vegetarian, but I am probably the worst vegetarian as I am very picky and love my carbs! - Ongoing
5. Become organized and get rid of the clutter in the house.  I found a link to a clutter calendar from Pinterest that I am going to work off of. - Ongoing

Running goals:
1. Run at least 1,500KM in 2012 -  Ran 1456.3KM
2. Run a Disney Race!  When I started this blog I was hoping to run the Princess 1/2 Marathon in February.  Due to finances, this is not going to happen, but I now have my sights set on the Disney Wine and Dine 1/2 Marathon in November instead. - Completed!

2013 Goals

5. Run a 10K Race in under 1hour and 10mins. I tried all 2012 to complete this and couldn't!

6K Run

This afternoon I ran 6K in 50mins.  I had snowed a fair bit over night so I waited until the afternoon to head out.  It was fairly warm out.  A nice afternoon for a run.

3.1Mile Treadmill Run

Today I ran 3.1Miles on the treadmill at a speed of 4.7 in 39mins.  It is pretty windy out today with a snow storm supposedly on its way, that is why I opted for the gym on this Boxing Day.  I did venture out to see to some furniture stores and Chapters today.  I ordered a curio cabinet with some money my parents gave me for Christmas.  I won't be in until March.  The items I want to put in the cabinet have been in a box for a few months now, so a few more months are not going to hurt anything!  I go a new Kobo Glo for Chirstmas from my hubby, so I made a stop at Chapters to buy a case.
I was nominated for a Liebster Award by 13.1 Miles to Disney.

1. My favourite colour is Pink!
2. I have 2 cats, 1 dog, 1 bird and a guinea pig.
3. I am scared of fire.  I will never buy a house with a fire place because of this.
4. If I won the lottery I would move to Florida in a heartbeat.

4.55K Run

Today I set out to run 14K on the bike paths towards Springbank Park but ended up only making it 4.55K in 36mins.   The Terry Fox Parkway ended up being covered in ice. So much so that after I turned around to abandon my chosen route I ended up slipping on ice and took a nice slide on my butt.

6.5K and 7.98K Runs

On Thursday I ran approximately 6.5K in 52mins.  My Garmin did not pick up a signal for a couple blocks as I started my run downtown from work.
On Saturday I ran 7.98K in 1hour and 2mins.  It has been really warm out lately, so I was able to run in a long sleeved shirt and my running vest of Saturday.
I didn't make it out for a run today as it was raining pretty hard this morning.  I haven't been very motivated lately, and because of that I am disappointing myself every time I don't get out for a run.  Here is my schedule for next week.  Hopefully I will be able to follow it a little better then I have been doing!

6.61K Run

Yesterday I ran 6.61K in 54mins.  It has been rainy all weekend and today was freezing rain, so I skipped my run today.  We did get some Christmas shopping done and bought a dress for my work's Christmas Party next weekend.  This is my schedule for next week:

11.44K Run and Burt's Bees

Today I ran 11.44K in 1hour and 36mins.  It was pretty warm out, but a little rainy.
On Monday I received a Bzz Kit from BzzAgent to review Burt's Bees Intense Hydration skin care.

5.63K Run

Yesterday afternoon I ran 5.63K in 44mins.  I had set out to do 6k, but had to walk the rest as my stomach was giving me some problems.
